June 2019 - March 2020
Developed and tested components for the camera in the Pulse Surgical Navigation platform.
Utilized user centered design techniques to develop concepts and prototypes for a tablet mount in the operating room.
Performed test protocols and wrote test reports for Pulse design change releases

Summer Research Fellow
Summer 2017
Performed both mechanical and FEA computational testing and analysis on pediatric spinal devices to determine fixture longevity and modes of failure.
- Designed custom test fixtures using computer-aided design software (SolidWorks) and implemented in mechanical testing.
- Learned about the medical device regulatory process and approval methods.
- Created and presented a poster at an Agency-wide research symposium attended by the FDA commissioner.

Undergrad Research Engineer
Dept. of Orthopaedics
September 2016 - May 2018
Performed kinematic analysis of the human knee joint using x-ray bi-planar video radiography coupled with force plate, motion tracking, & EMG equipment in a clinical study comparing healthy & surgically repaired knees.
Senior Thesis: ”Sensitivity of 3D knee joint kinematics calculated from CT and MRI derived bone models.”
Compared the Model, Observer, & Bone effects on derived knee joint kinematics when using bi-planer tracking software.
Design Engineer

September 2017 - May 2018
Koi Prosthetics is a venture founded by students at Brown University to design accessible prosthetic devices for impoverished amputees. Our team is designing an adjustable prosthetic socket to streamline the fitting process. Moreover, we are designing a low-cost prosthetic knee and an adjustable pylon to further increase prosthetic accessibility.
Designed, developed, and built an initial prototype for the adjustable socket. Optimized the four-bar mechanism for the prosthetic knee using kinematic analysis. My role was to provide mechanical, material, and kinematic gait analysis expertise to the team.
